The Tragic Company is an indie rock band based in Estepona and formed by frontman Juanma Medina (Tragic John to his Facebook pals) and playing mostly original material influenced by the likes of The Who, Zeppelin, and Hendrix along with more contemporary artists including Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Audioslave and Porcupine Tree.
The Tragic Company have enjoyed considerable success in local music contests including winning the prestigious 2009 CostaPop Express organised by the 40 Principales radio station.
Their debut album ‘Bass. Middle, Treble’ was well received critically and features 9 tracks which revolve around a central piece ‘The Story of a Greedy Bellboy’ a mini rock opera about love and human greed.
A recent change in the lineup has seen The Tragic Company develop a harder rock sound and the band has recently begun releasing tracks from their latest album ‘Things I Should Have Told You Before’.
